The Mercedes-Benz C-Class W202 ran from 1993 to 2000 and is often regarded as the last of the ‘simple’ Mercedes C-Class, before the electronics and complexity of the W203 generation arrived. The ‘elec’ note in the product title is important here: some W202s were fitted with electric seat adjustment, which changes the bracket and motor arrangement in the floor, and this sub-frame is designed specifically for those electrically adjusted cars.
Part number 682429 is the Recaro direct-fit sub-frame for the W202 C-Class with electric seat adjustment. It attaches at the floor positions specific to the electric seat motor arrangement and provides fore-aft running adjustment for the Recaro seat. A W202 with manual seat adjustment uses a different floor layout and needs a different sub-frame. If you are not sure whether your W202 has electric or manual adjustment, check the seat base: electric adjustment uses switch controls on the seat side bolster or door panel, while manual uses levers.
The W202 C36 AMG and C43 AMG are collectible now and attract owners who want factory AMG character with improved ergonomics. Both used high-specification seat options from the factory, but a Recaro Sport or Sportster CS is a natural fit in an AMG C-Class regardless of generation.
This sub-frame fits Recaro seats only and covers base-mountable bucket seats and reclining sport seats. Side-mounted shells are not in scope here. Pricing is for one position. Confirm electric seat adjustment before ordering. Contact us with your Recaro model.
