The Mercedes-Benz B-Class W245 was built from 2005 to 2011 and is the first generation of the B-Class name. It was based on an extended version of the A-Class W169 platform and used the same sandwich-floor crash structure. The W245 was marketed primarily as a safe and practical family car with a raised seating position and easy access. It was sold in standard and Sports Package specifications, the latter with revised suspension and a sportier exterior.
Part number 869316-1856 is the Recaro direct-fit sub-frame for the W245 B-Class. It attaches at the factory floor mounting positions specific to the W245’s raised-floor design and provides fore-aft sliding adjustment. The W245 floor sits higher than a conventional saloon because of the sandwich floor structure, and Recaro produced this sub-frame with the correct geometry for that elevated mounting position.
The B200 and B200 Turbo in Sports Package specification are the W245 variants most often upgraded with Recaro seats. The raised seating position means a Recaro’s shoulder bolsters are particularly effective in the W245, as the occupant is already sitting in a commanding position and the lateral support adds meaningful benefit on faster roads.
This sub-frame is for Recaro seats only and covers base-mountable bucket seats and reclining sport seats. Side-mounted competition shells need different hardware. Pricing is per frame, per seat. Contact us with your Recaro model when ordering.
