Four points means no sub strap under the buckle. The sub strap on a five or six-point harness prevents the lap belt from riding up in a frontal impact. Without it, the four-point gives less protection in that specific scenario compared to the five or six-point layouts. The four-point is the correct choice only when a sub strap is genuinely impractical for the car’s mounting points, or when no competition regulation requires one. For most circuit and track day use, the six-point is the better choice and costs less at £138 in Superlite configuration.
The 3 inch (75mm) webbing on both shoulder and lap is the same width as the Magnum FIA range. Drivers who prefer the lever-latch buckle of the Nascar range over the aircraft rotary buckle on the FIA range, and who want the 3 inch webbing width throughout, will find this is the correct combination.
At £145, the four-point 75mm Superlite is the most expensive of the four, five, and six-point Nascar Superlite options. The higher price reflects lower demand for the four-point layout relative to the more capable five and six-point versions. Nine webbing colours. Not FIA approved.
