A retractable three-point harness that installs to a new anchor point rather than the original seatbelt mounting. Road approved, with a push-button clip buckle. Part number 21J00*0.
This is the solution for a caged car where the factory seatbelt is no longer accessible from the driver’s position, but the car still needs to be road-legal. Once a car is caged, the factory B-pillar retractor that the original seatbelt loops through is often blocked, cut out, or moved. This harness gives you a new retractable belt from a new anchor point that you choose during installation. The retractable mechanism pulls the belt back out of the way when not clipped in, which keeps it from lying loose across the seat between uses.
Available with three stalk lengths: 15cm, 30cm, and 45cm. The stalk is the section between the floor anchor point and the buckle housing. A short stalk suits a car where the anchor sits close under the seat; a longer stalk is needed if the anchor is further back or the buckle would otherwise sit too low to clip in easily without leaning. Measure from your intended anchor point to where you want the buckle to sit at the driver’s hip before choosing the stalk length, because this is not adjustable after installation.
Available in black only. The clip buckle is the standard road type, not a motorsport quick-release. For any event where FIA or ECE competition approval is required, the Clubman or Magnum range is the correct product. This harness is for road use on caged cars that have lost their factory seatbelt retractor position.
