The TBB5T is the side mount bracket for the Tillett B5 shell, updated from the original TB3 design. Part number TIL-TBB5T. Steel construction, black finish. Compatible seat: Tillett B5.

The B5 was discontinued by Tillett in July 2026, replaced by the B12 in the current range. If you already own a B5 and need replacement brackets, the TBB5T is the correct part. This bracket is not compatible with other Tillett shells.

Steel construction is heavier than aluminium but more resistant to damage from hard contact at the mounting points. For a bracket that sees track use and the occasional incident, steel is the more resilient material. The TBB5T was the standard bracket supplied with the B5, so if you are replacing damaged or missing brackets on an existing seat, this is the part.

Side mounting positions the seat lower than base mounting and allows some angle adjustment through the mount geometry. If your B5 is currently base-mounted and you want to convert to side mounting, the TBB5T is the bracket you need alongside a fitting frame that accepts side mounts.

Tillett seats are custom-made to order

These carbon seats are handcrafted in the UK for each order. We do not stock or display them in the showroom, so everything is a special order placed with Tillett when you buy.

Lead times depend on the model and the options you choose, so ring us before ordering if you are working to a date.

Because each seat is made for you, our special order terms apply once production has begun.

Tell us your height, weight and the car, and we will confirm the right size and mounting before anything is made. Tillett sizing is specific and worth getting right first time.
