The Tillett STBO, formerly the TB5, is an aluminium side mount bracket set that covers the broad Tillett range. SKU TBF5-1. Black. Compatible with the B6, B6S, B6SXL, B6XL, B7, B7XL, B8, B9, B10, B10XL, C1 and C1XL.
Side mounts bolt to the flanges on either side of the seat shell and connect the seat to a fitting frame running to the car floor. Running a seat on side mounts typically gets it lower in the car than base mounting allows and gives some scope for angle adjustment through the mounting bolt positions.
The STBO is the broadest-compatibility side mount in the Tillett range. If you have any of the B6 family, B7, B8, B9, B10 or C1, this bracket set is confirmed compatible. For the B6S, B7, B8 and B9 specifically, Tillett also produce the PTBI, which is a heavier-gauge bracket designed for those seat shells. The STBO works on those models too; the PTBI is the seat-specific option.
If you have a B5 seat, the correct bracket is the TBB5 and not the STBO. The B5 uses a different bracket. The STBO covers the B5’s successor models but not the B5 itself.
If your seat is not on the compatibility list, ask us before ordering. Getting the bracket wrong for the seat flange width means the bolt holes will not line up.
