For a back seat that gets used
Spacer fabric is the material to specify when people actually travel in the back rather than the seat existing to be looked at.
An open three dimensional knit lets air through instead of trapping heat at the surface, and the rear of a car is where that matters most: less ventilation reaches it and the glass above it is at a shallower angle to the sun.
A car that carries children in the back is the clearest case for it.
The configuration
Two piece backrest so one side folds, single piece base. This is priced the same as the solid back version, because only splitting the base adds cost.
Worth checking which your car has. A split backrest was optional on many models.
The honest limits
It reads as modern, which is wrong in a restoration, and it holds dirt where vinyl sheds it. On a folding backrest that second point counts, because anything coming through from the boot lands on the fabric.
