The 106 is a small, light car and that shapes the whole seat decision. There is not much cabin width to play with, and a wide shell that clears the sill on paper can still foul the door card or sit against the handbrake. Get the frame right and you have solved the mounting; the seat choice is the part worth talking through.
Fitment
Steel, on the 345mm by 271mm base mount pattern. Sparco, OMP and Corbeau base mount seats all use that spacing. Older copy on this range said the frames take same brand seats only, which was never true of this pattern.
Side mount competition shells need side mounts or adaption bars in between. They do not bolt to the frame on their own.
Ordering
One frame to one seat, handed. Choose RHD driver or RHD passenger and order twice for the pair.
Tell us the seat you are fitting when you order, and in a car this size tell us your height and build as well. We would rather steer you to a shell that fits the cabin than send a frame and a seat that will not live together.
Frames in this range are either full replacement frames or adaption bars that work with what is in the car, decided by the vehicle. The photograph is illustrative. We confirm what yours is before it ships.
Will this fit my car?
This frame is made for the Peugeot 106. Chassis code and years matter more than the badge, as floor pans change between generations, so if your car sits near a changeover year, send us the registration and we will confirm before you order.
Which seats does it take?
It takes seats drilled 345mm x 271mm (the Sparco and OMP seat pattern). The Compatible seats tab above lists what bolts straight on. If your seat is not listed, tell us what you run and we will confirm the fit.
Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Sparco frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.
Base mount or side mount, and does it matter?
This is a base-mount frame: the seat bolts down through its base, the simpler stack that suits seats with a flat bottom and keeps the install low-fuss. Our guide on base mount versus side mount explains the whole fitting stack.
