The Sabelt Ultralight Westfield Kit Car 4 Point Harness is a 4-point competition harness approved to FIA 8854-1998. Shoulder and lap webbing are 3 inch. Aircraft-type buckle. Not HANS compatible. Available in black, blue and red.
Ultralight webbing grade on a Westfield-specific geometry. Ultralight in the Sabelt range refers to the webbing material: lighter, thinner and more supple than Steel or Silver equivalents. For a Westfield, where the entire car is built around minimising mass, using the lightest available harness webbing is consistent with the rest of the build philosophy.
The 3-inch webbing is the wider of the two configurations available for Westfield harnesses; wider webbing spreads the load from shoulder straps over more surface area in an impact. Not HANS compatible, consistent with the typical Westfield motorsport classes where HANS device use is not mandated.
FIA 8854-1998 is the 4-point standard. Check your class rules: some Westfield and kit car championships now require 6-point under FIA 8853-2016.
At £260 this is compared with the Silver Westfield/Kit Car 4 Point (118A433SD4F, £298). The Ultralight is lighter due to the webbing grade; the Silver has higher-quality hardware by the Silver series designation. The Ultralight is actually less expensive despite having a higher webbing grade because hardware tier and webbing tier are independent in Sabelt’s range classification.
