The Peugeot 405 was made from 1987 to 1997 and is best known to motorsport followers as the car that won the Paris-Dakar Rally in 1990 in T16 specification. On public roads it was a capable medium family car with good handling for its class. The factory seat in the 405 was available in a basic form without height adjustment and in a more specified version with height adjustment included, and those two options use different floor mounting geometry.
Part number 678309-1930 is the Recaro direct-fit sub-frame for the 405 without factory height adjustment. It attaches to the floor fixing positions used in cars where the seat has no height travel and provides fore-aft sliding via the integrated runners. This sub-frame does not fit 405s equipped with the factory height adjuster, which have different brackets in the floor.
The distinction is worth checking before you order. A 405 with height adjustment will have a lever or handle on the seat base that controls vertical movement. Without it, the seat is a fixed-height design with fore-aft movement only. Both were available across trim levels rather than being exclusive to a particular specification.
This sub-frame fits Recaro seats only and covers base-mountable bucket seats and reclining sport seats. Side-mounted shells are not included in this kit. Price is per frame, one seat position. Contact us with your Recaro model and confirm the height adjuster detail of your 405 before ordering.
