Cobra rear door panel upholstery in alcantara. Part number RS-RDP-A.
The best place in the car for it
Alcantara’s weakness is wear at contact points, and the rear door panel is the part of an interior that gets touched least. In a two door classic the rear doors barely exist as far as use is concerned.
So this is where alcantara does its best work: you get the depth of colour and the lack of glare without the marking that shows up on an armrest or the bottom of a front panel within a season.
Matching, and what it costs
It only makes sense as part of a set. Alcantara rear panels against vinyl fronts would look like an accident, and the fronts are the ones that get seen.
Upper price tier here, level with leather and leather and alcantara. Worth knowing that on the bench range alcantara costs more than leather, while on the door panels the two are the same, so a full alcantara interior is not as far above a leather one as you might expect.
Before you order
Rear panels last longer than fronts. Check whether yours are actually tired, or whether the front pair is the real job.
