A Planted Technology seat bracket for the Subaru Outback, fifth generation. Part number SB135-4941.

The same bracket as our 2010 to 2014 Legacy and Outback listing, which follows from the Outback being a raised Legacy estate on the same floor. Listed here separately so an Outback owner has a page that names their car.

What an Outback is actually for

Covering long distances on surfaces that slow other estates down. It is not a track car and it is not really an off roader either, and the people who own them tend to use them properly rather than for show.

So the seat that suits one is not a hard racing shell. If you are doing long days on gravel or forest roads, ask us about the more heavily padded options, or a reclining seat rather than a fixed bucket. Comfort over six hours is worth more than lateral support you use for ten minutes.

An Outback is wide and tall inside, so shell width is not a constraint and a taller driver has real options.
