Planted Technology seat brackets for the Porsche 912. Part number SB053-4955.

The base part number is shared with the 1966 to 1973 911, which follows directly from what the 912 is: the same body with a four cylinder engine in the back.

The car that kept Porsche solvent

When the 911 arrived it was considerably more expensive than the 356 it replaced, and Porsche needed something to sell to existing customers. The 912 used the 356’s flat four in the new body, and for several years it outsold the 911.

That history is why 912 values have followed the early 911 upwards: it is the same car to look at and to sit in, for rather less money.
