It does not rust like the W210
Which is the single most useful thing to say about it. Mercedes fixed the paint and corrosion problems that ruined the W210’s reputation, and a W211 is a far more solid proposition as a result. The seat mounting area is still worth a look with the carpet up, but it is not the real question it is on the older car.
The E55 and E63 AMG
The E55 has the supercharged 5.4 and the E63 the naturally aspirated 6.2. Both are heavy, very quick saloons, and nobody fits a shell to one for weight. What changes is how much you slide about when the car is loaded up.
The electronics
Powered adjustment in several planes, memory, heating, side airbags and occupancy sensing. It is a wiring job as much as a mechanical one. Tell us the specification before you order.

This frame is made for the Mercedes E-Class (2002-2009). Chassis code and years matter more than the badge, as floor pans change between generations, so if your car sits near a changeover year, send us the registration and we will confirm before you order.

Check the bolt pattern in the specification against your seat. The Compatible seats tab above lists what bolts straight on. If your seat is not listed, tell us what you run and we will confirm the fit.
Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Planted frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.
Is this for the driver or passenger side?
Both sides are available on this listing, pick driver or passenger side at the point of order (sides listed are for right-hand-drive cars). Left-hand-drive car? Ask us, as the sides swap over and availability varies by model.
