PCI make the bracketry, not the seat. This is what goes between a side mount competition bucket and the floor mounting points Mazda already put in the car, and it is the part that decides how low you sit and whether the installation is any good.
Slider or adjustable
This is the slider version, so the seat moves fore and aft once it is in. That is the one to buy if the car is shared, or if anyone else ever drives it. If you are the only driver and you want to sit as low as the car allows, the adjustable mount is lower and cheaper.
PCI’s S1 slider bolts to the base with four bolts where a conventional slider uses two, which they describe as twice as strong as two bolt mounting. On a seat that is being held by a harness rather than a seatbelt, that matters.
Construction
Laser cut and CNC formed from a single piece of 1/8 inch carbon steel, with bends placed to add stiffness where it is needed rather than using thicker metal throughout. Gloss black powder coat, grade 10.9 8mm hardware, and five and six point sub belt mounting locations built into the mount.
That last point saves a job. In most installations the crotch strap anchor is the awkward part, and having it in the mount means you are not fabricating one.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?

Base mount or side mount, and does it matter?
