The CRX is small, very light and still competitive in club events, which is why they are still being built rather than simply preserved.
Why the adjustable mount suits it
Two reasons. PCI’s adjustable mount gives the lowest possible seat fitment in their range, which matters in a car with a low roofline and often a roll bar behind the driver. And it is lighter and more rigid than a slider, which in a car this light is worth having.
The seat is set at installation and stays there. The hardware interlocks into the slots in the seat base, so the position can be changed later with one tool without taking the mount out of the car.
Check the floor first
Thirty five year old floorpans deserve a look with the carpet up. A mount feeds seat load into the factory mounting points and it can only do that if the metal round them is sound.
Construction
Laser cut and CNC formed from one piece of 1/8 inch carbon steel, gloss black powder coat, grade 10.9 8mm hardware, five and six point sub belt mounting locations built in.
