A PCI Racing adjustable seat mount for the BMW E36 3-Series, 1992 to 1998. Part number SM-E36-A1.
The low option for an E36. PCI’s adjustable mount gives the largest range of adjustment and the lowest possible seat fitment in their range, with no slider, so the seat is set at installation and stays there.
Most E36s at this stage of their life are track cars rather than daily drivers, which makes this the sensible choice over the sliding sub frame. If yours is shared, take the slider instead.
Check the floor first
On a car of this age that is the honest first job. A mount works by feeding seat load into the factory mounting points, and it can only do that if the metal round them is sound. Lift the carpet before you spend anything on seats or brackets.
Construction
Laser cut and CNC formed from one piece of 1/8 inch carbon steel, gloss black powder coat, grade 10.9 8mm hardware, five and six point sub belt mounting locations built in. The hardware interlocks into the slots in the seat base, so position can be changed later with one tool.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on PCI frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.
Base mount or side mount, and does it matter?
