A PCI Racing 1.5 inch set back adjustable side mount. Part number SM-SIDE-A2.
Set back rather than height. This bracket moves the seat rearward by an inch and a half, and that is a different problem from sitting too high.
When you need it
Tall drivers, mostly. A competition seat in a small car often runs out of rearward travel before a tall driver runs out of legs, and the result is either a bent knee against the wheel or a driving position you cannot use properly. An inch and a half does not sound like much and it is usually enough.
It also solves a helmet clearance problem in cars with a cage: moving back can put your head into a better relationship with a diagonal or a harness bar than moving down does.
Adjustable, not slider
This is the adjustable version, so the position is set at installation and stays there. That gives a lower and more rigid fitment than a slider. If you need the seat to move for another driver, the standard slider side mount is the one to take.
Construction
Laser cut and CNC formed from one piece of 1/8 inch carbon steel, gloss black powder coat.
Tell us the car, the seat and your height, and we will work out whether set back, height or both is what you actually need before you order.
