OMP base mount to side mount conversion brackets. Part number HC660.

These bolt to the underside of a base mounted seat, and their 90 degree angle gives you a flat vertical face to bolt side mounts onto. In effect they turn a bottom mounted seat into a side mounted one.

Why anyone wants that

Adjustment, mostly. Multi hole side mounts give you a great deal of fore and aft movement and a choice of seat angle, and a base mounted seat gives you neither. If you have a seat you like and cannot get it sitting where you want it, this is the part that solves it.

Side mounting also usually gets you lower than base mounting, which matters if you are tall or in a helmet.

Not FIA approved

Stated plainly, because it decides whether you can use them. They are widely used in clubman events and track days. If your car is scrutineered against FIA seat mounting requirements, these are not the answer and we will point you elsewhere.

Check the bolt pattern in the specification against your seat. If your seat is not listed, tell us what you run and we will confirm the fit.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on OMP frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

Availability

OMP deliveries arrive every two weeks

OMP produce in batches and we receive their products on a fortnightly basis, so their most popular seats, harnesses and equipment are generally available for quick dispatch.

Reclining sport seats and less common trims are brought in to order, so those take longer.

Tell us when you order and we will confirm the current lead time before you commit, rather than leaving you to find out afterwards.
