The OMPHC0-0925 is OMP’s 495mm alloy side mount, the aluminium version of the long multi-hole bracket in the range. Aluminium rather than steel means it is lighter. The trade-off is that the alloy section needs to be thicker to carry the same load, which is why this mount runs at 6mm thickness against the 3mm of the equivalent steel version.
Side mounts bolt to the side flanges of a competition seat and then to the top of a vehicle-specific subframe. They set the seat height and allow fore-aft adjustment through the row of mounting holes. At 495mm long with 6 mounting holes, the OMPHC0-0925 gives a wide range of fore-aft positions. Pattern type B. High profile. The lateral spacing is the standard 290mm competition figure used across OMP, Sparco, and Cobra competition seats.
These work with competition seats that use a side-mount fixing. The seat needs flanges on its sides for the mount bolts to pass through. They do not work with base-mount seats. Most FIA-approved bucket seats are side-mount only.
The steel version (OMPHC0-0923, £115.65) is the heavier alternative at 3mm thickness and 6 holes over 495mm. If weight is not a priority, the steel is the more robust choice. If the build is weight-sensitive, the alloy saves material at a higher unit cost. If you only need a shorter bracket with less adjustment range, the high-profile steel mount (OMPHC0-0731-B01, £62) at 380mm and 4 holes is the lower-cost option.
