The M2 Motorsport GTR bucket seat is M2’s fixed-back competition seat, built for drivers who want a proper motorsport shell at a working budget. The shell is fibre composite with a full Alcantara face: a combination that keeps weight low and gives a finish that wears well in an environment where drivers get in and out in race suits.
Part number M2-RSGTR-B1B1. The GTR is a medium fit, designed for a 34-inch waistline guide, with a slimline back profile that has no head support above shoulder level. The side mount holes are at the standard 290mm centre spacing and accept M2’s own sub-frames directly. Six-point harness slots are built into the shell: two over the shoulders, two through the seat at the lap, and two at the base for the crotch straps.
The seat is sold as a single unit, brackets not included. You will need the vehicle-specific M2 sub-frame for your car to mount it, or the M2 adaption bars if your sub-frame uses a different pattern.
The GTR is M2’s core race seat rather than their top-of-range. If you are a larger driver, the M2 Motorsport GTR XL has extra dimensions: 41cm rear squab width between the knees and 45cm front, with a taller backrest that includes a head support. The GTR XL fits M2 frames by reversing the up brackets.
The GTS is the other seat in the M2 range. It shares the GTR’s composite shell but uses a woven textile back instead of full Alcantara, which makes it the lower-cost option if the finish of the back is not important in your application.
