The Sprint is the entry FIA shell
Of the tartan trimmed FIA seats, the Sprint is the most affordable: 740 standard width, 805 in this XL. Above it sit the RXC at 805 and 845, the Pro Series at 810 and 880, the Revenge at 875 and 960, and the Revolution at 920 and 960.
What you give up going down the ladder is shell shape and, on some, head support. Not build quality and not the tartan work, which is identical across all of them.
XL sizing
Cut for 36 to 38 and 32 to 36 inch waists, so it spans both. The standard Sprint Tartan is 740 and suits 32 to 36. If you are between the two, come and sit in them.
Eight tartans, trimmed to order
Wool cloth, cut in house. The plain Sprint X System 1 XL is 600, so 205 of this price is the trim and the labour in it. Choose your design when you order; there are eight and they are all quite different in character, from the muted ancients to the brighter dress patterns.
The practical bits
System 1 is the fibreglass shell. This seat is base mount. FIA 8855-1999, with validity taken from the seat’s own label rather than any general rule.
