740 is the entry point, and here is what that buys
An FIA 8855-1999 homologated shell in genuine wool tartan. The cheaper tartan seats below it, the GT4 Retro at 490, the Classic at 530 and the Alpine at 555, are not FIA homologated. If you need the homologation for competition, this is the cheapest way into it in tartan.
The GT8 High-back at 575 sits between the two, so check its specification if you are weighing them up.
No head support
The Sprint shell stops at the shoulders. If your class expects lateral head protection you need the Revenge at 875 or the Revolution at 920 instead, both of which have it.
The trim
The plain Sprint X System 1 is 575. The 165 difference is wool cloth cut and trimmed in house to whichever of the eight designs you pick. Each seat is made to that order rather than taken off a shelf, so allow for that when you are working to a date.
Mounting and dates
System 1 is the fibreglass shell, and this seat is base mount. FIA 8855-1999, and the seat’s own label carries its validity: usually manufacture plus five years, extendable by two.
