The Audi A4 spent much of its production life as a corporate saloon, which meant the seats it came with from the factory were optimised for comfort over long motorway miles rather than lateral support. Owners who track their A4, or who run it in club sprint or hillclimb events, find the OEM seat working against them as soon as the cornering forces build up. A Corbeau bucket seat changes that, but a seat without the correct sub-frame either ends up sitting too high or gets mounted at the wrong angle for that body size and floor geometry.
This sub-frame is built around the A4’s own floor bolt positions. It connects the seat to the points the factory used, which avoids any drilling and keeps the mounting within the tolerances Corbeau specifies. The exact kit supplied will depend on the specific A4 variant and year: some configurations use a complete replacement frame with a sliding runner, others use an adaptation bracket that works off the existing floor frame. Either type brings the seat down to a sensible mounting height and keeps it from rocking under load.
The sub-frame covers base-mounted and reclining sport seats. It does not apply to side-mounted FIA race seats. One sub-frame fits one seat, priced at £245 exc. VAT per position. If you need driver and passenger sides, add the item to your cart twice and select the correct position each time. Put a note in the comments at checkout with the Corbeau seat you are fitting and we will confirm the kit before dispatch.
