Direct fit sub-frames for the BMW 3 Series E91 Touring, from Corbeau, 245 per frame. Vehicle-specific frames that bolt to the estate’s factory seat mounting points.

E91 is the Touring

The estate version of the 2005 to 2012 3 Series. Corbeau list the E90 saloon and the E93 convertible as separate frames at the same 245, and while the saloon and Touring are close underneath, the frames are listed per body and that is how to order them. Send the registration if you are not certain which you have.

A fast estate with a proper seat

Plenty of E91s are 330d and 335i cars that get driven hard with a family in the back, which is exactly where a reclining Corbeau on a direct fit frame makes sense: a better seat, on the factory mounting points, that still tilts for the rear.

What the price covers

Not for side-mounted seats, which is Corbeau’s statement rather than ours. Fitting a side-mount bucket? Ask us and we will list the mounting that works. Corbeau design the kit for the seats they base mount themselves, the Sportline reclining models and the Classic buckets. A set of double locking runners is included, and the price is for one frame, which fits one seat, so both sides means two. The picture is generic. Your car may get a complete replacement frame or a runner and bracket set for the base that is already there.

What's included?

What will be in the box? There are several types of seat frames which may be supplied depending on the vehicle and application. You may receive 1 of the following 4 types. If you are using them with a certain seat, please contact us in advance for professional advice.

#1. A full replacement frame with a sliding runner and resisitor kit
#2. A full replacement frame with a sliding runner
#3. A full replacement frame only
#4. An adaption bracket kit

Additional seat belt brackets: Each seat frame can be used for a variety of applications including road car reclining seats throuh to Motorsport FIA seats. Seat belt brackets are not required in a range of application so manufacturers generally do not supply them with their frame kits. If you require seat belt brackets please contact us in advance

Bolt point tolerances:

Please note that OMP, Sparco and various other brands have a +/- 10mm tolerance on the bolt point locations on each of their sub-frames. This means that when installing the equipment into your vehicle, you may find that one or more of the bolt points may need extending for a perfect fit.

This is normal and, when installed by a skilled professional, it may only add five minutes to the total installation time. A prime example is the OMP Renault Clio MK3 frames and the BMW E46 frames as two bolt points need extending by 5mm in 75% of installations.

Drilling of frames and equipment may be required to complete your installation.

Matching seats and frames:

There are over half a dozen different bolt patterns in the industry for base mounted seats. There are over 30 different bolt patterns for side mounted seats. Aftermarket frames from different brands will have different bolt location points. 

Seats and frames are not a direct fit between brands. Seat frames are also not suitabled for OEM seats (Fitted into a vehicle from the factory) Please ensure to contact us for professional advice before purchasing your seat frames. We will be able to provide you a recommendation as to which seat frame is right for which seat.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Corbeau frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

Corbeau seats are handcrafted here in the UK

FIA bucket seats are built to order, typically 3 to 7 days from the day you order. Kevlar and carbon shells take longer, so ask us if you are working to a date.

Reclining sport seats are also made to order in your chosen trim, and run to a similar timescale.

Seats built to a specification you have chosen are made for your order, so our special order terms apply once production has started.
