Direct fit subframes for the Skoda Octavia Mk1, using the seat mounting points already in the car.
If the car still does normal work
An Octavia usually earns its keep as well as being enjoyed, and a fixed back competition bucket is a poor companion on a long motorway run or a supermarket trip. It does not recline, it is colder in winter, and getting in and out past the bolsters stops being charming after a fortnight.
The reclining sport seats in the Cobra range give most of the lateral support with none of that, and they fit this same frame. If the car is doing both jobs, they are usually the honest recommendation and we would rather make it than sell you a shell you end up disliking.
What you get
Base frame and sliding runner, included. Sparco, Planted, OMP, Recaro and Corbeau all charge separately for the runner.
What it will take
Cobra base mountable buckets and reclining sport seats, 291mm or 405mm wide handle. A side mounted seat needs adaption bars or side mounts.
Tell us the seat at checkout. Priced per frame, which fits one seat.
Will this fit my car?
This frame is made for the Skoda Octavia Mk1. Chassis code and years matter more than the badge, as floor pans change between generations, so if your car sits near a changeover year, send us the registration and we will confirm before you order.
Which seats does it take?
Cobra design each tailored frame around a particular seat, so check the Compatible seats tab above for the designed pairing. Other seats with a matching bolt pattern can work as cross-compatible components rather than a designed set, so ask us before mixing brands.
Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Yes, and unlike most brands the sliding runner comes included with a Cobra frame, in the price. That changes the like-for-like comparison against other makers, where the runner is a separate part on top. Our guide to sliding runners covers how they work.
Base mount or side mount, and does it matter?
This is a base-mount frame: the seat bolts down through its base, the simpler stack that suits seats with a flat bottom and keeps the install low-fuss. Our guide on base mount versus side mount explains the whole fitting stack.
