Direct fit subframes for the Porsche 924 from October 1984, made to bolt straight to the original floor mounts. Part number MR-PO-91-2130.

Two versions, so check the date

We list the 924 as two frames split by production date, and this is the later one. If your car is earlier, the other listing is the one you want. If you are not certain which side of the change your car falls, send us the registration or the chassis number and we will tell you rather than have you guess.

It is worth thirty seconds. A frame for the wrong half of the production run is the single most common way this purchase goes wrong.

What arrives

The base frame and the sliding runner. Cobra include the runner in the price, unlike Sparco, Planted, OMP, Recaro and Corbeau, so compare the complete cost rather than the frame price alone.

What seats it will take

Base mountable bucket seats and reclining sport seats, with either a 291mm or 405mm wide handle. It will not take a side mounted seat without adaption bars or side mounts, and a Motorsport seat or a Cobra Nogaro needs side mounts adding.

What's included?

What will be in the box? There are several types of seat frames which may be supplied depending on the vehicle and application. You may receive 1 of the following 4 types. If you are using them with a certain seat, please contact us in advance for professional advice.

#1. A full replacement frame with a sliding runner and resisitor kit
#2. A full replacement frame with a sliding runner
#3. A full replacement frame only
#4. An adaption bracket kit

Additional seat belt brackets: Each seat frame can be used for a variety of applications including road car reclining seats throuh to Motorsport FIA seats. Seat belt brackets are not required in a range of application so manufacturers generally do not supply them with their frame kits. If you require seat belt brackets please contact us in advance

Bolt point tolerances:

Please note that OMP, Sparco and various other brands have a +/- 10mm tolerance on the bolt point locations on each of their sub-frames. This means that when installing the equipment into your vehicle, you may find that one or more of the bolt points may need extending for a perfect fit.

This is normal and, when installed by a skilled professional, it may only add five minutes to the total installation time. A prime example is the OMP Renault Clio MK3 frames and the BMW E46 frames as two bolt points need extending by 5mm in 75% of installations.

Drilling of frames and equipment may be required to complete your installation.

Matching seats and frames:

There are over half a dozen different bolt patterns in the industry for base mounted seats. There are over 30 different bolt patterns for side mounted seats. Aftermarket frames from different brands will have different bolt location points. 

Seats and frames are not a direct fit between brands. Seat frames are also not suitabled for OEM seats (Fitted into a vehicle from the factory) Please ensure to contact us for professional advice before purchasing your seat frames. We will be able to provide you a recommendation as to which seat frame is right for which seat.

Cobra seats are handcrafted in the UK. Each seat and product is lovingly created. On average, this takes around 4-6 weeks. (product specification depending) When ordering Cobra seats, you know you are getting a high-quality British product made to your specification. 

Need them faster? Cobra seats do not allow “queue jumping”. Orders are processed in a first come, first served basis. If you do have a deadline, track day, project or requirement. Please contact us in advance to check if the manufacturer can work with us, and you to meet your needs.
