The C3 sits you high, and a frame makes useful difference here
The C3 Mk1 was deliberately designed with a higher driving position than equivalent small cars of the time. That gives a frame more to work with: dropping 40 to 60mm is a noticeably different outcome on a car where you start high than on one where you are already close to the floor. Most people fitting a bucket to a C3 find the improvement in driving position is more significant than they expected.
The cabin is narrow at floor level but widens at shoulder height. Measure the gap at shoulder height rather than door card to centre console, because that is where the bolsters sit and where some shells become tight. Tell us the seat you have in mind and we will check whether we have seen fitment issues on this car.
