These are bars, not a full frame
That is the thing to understand before you order, and it is why they cost a fraction of a frame. They are designed to work with part of your car’s original fitting kit rather than to replace it, so what you end up with is your existing base adapted to take a Cobra seat.
If your original fitting kit is missing or beyond use, these are not the answer on their own and you need a full frame instead. Tell us what is still in the car and we will say which you need.
Two limits worth knowing
They will not suit earlier cars. Pre 1979 Fiestas used a different arrangement and these bars will not work with it.
And they take a 291mm Cobra bolt pattern seat. Not 405mm. Turn your seat over and measure across the handle underneath; if it comes to 405mm, this is not the part for it.
What seats they take
Base mountable bucket seats and reclining sport seats from the Cobra range. They will not take a side mounted seat without side mounts.

Will this fit my car?
This frame is made for the Ford Fiesta Mk1. Chassis code and years matter more than the badge, as floor pans change between generations, so if your car sits near a changeover year, send us the registration and we will confirm before you order.
Which seats does it take?
Cobra design each tailored frame around a particular seat, so check the Compatible seats tab above for the designed pairing. Other seats with a matching bolt pattern can work as cross-compatible components rather than a designed set, so ask us before mixing brands.
Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Yes, and unlike most brands the sliding runner comes included with a Cobra frame, in the price. That changes the like-for-like comparison against other makers, where the runner is a separate part on top. Our guide to sliding runners covers how they work.
Base mount or side mount, and does it matter?
This is a base-mount frame: the seat bolts down through its base, the simpler stack that suits seats with a flat bottom and keeps the install low-fuss. Our guide on base mount versus side mount explains the whole fitting stack.
