Cobra centre armrest upholstery in vinyl and fabric. Part number RS-C-V.
Durable at the edges, cooler in the middle
Vinyl on the outer surfaces with fabric through the centre. On an armrest that split does more work than it does anywhere else in the range.
The edges are what your arm slides across getting in and out, and vinyl survives that. The centre is where your elbow sits still for an hour at a time, and fabric there does not warm up the way an all vinyl top does.
It is the sensible middle answer, and it is on the lower price tier alongside plain vinyl and spacer fabric.
When to spend more instead
Leather, alcantara and leather and alcantara sit on the higher tier. They are worth it when the seats are trimmed the same way and a vinyl armrest between them would stand out.
Matching matters more on this panel than most. The centre armrest sits between the two front seats at eye level, so a mismatch is visible every time you look down.
The range
Headrests, door panels and the rear bench are available in the same six materials. Made by Cobra in Berkshire.
