What they do
Each frame bolts to the floor mounting points Volkswagen already provided and gives the new seat a flat 345mm by 271mm base. No drilling and no fabricated brackets, and the seat load goes into structure designed to take it. On a car as recent as a Mk7 that matters for more than strength: a reversible installation keeps the original seats intact for when the car is sold.
The 345mm by 271mm pattern covers Sparco, OMP and Corbeau base mount seats. The old claim on this range that the frames take only same brand seats was not correct.
Side mount competition shells need side mounts or adaption bars fitted above the frame.
