Mk5, not Mk4
The Mk5 takes its own frame. The fourth series uses a different part and the two do not interchange, so order on the generation rather than the model name.
Vauxhall in the UK, Opel everywhere else, and the same car either way. If you have been searching under one badge and finding nothing, that is usually the reason.
Why a pair on this car
The Mk5 is the generation that brought the VXR, and cars that see track use tend to get both seats done rather than just the driver’s. A passenger seat that matches matters more than people expect on a car used for instruction or for taking people out.
Buying the pair together also means both sides sit at the same height, which is harder to match if the second frame arrives months after the first.
Seat choice stays open
Both frames carry two bolt patterns. 345mm by 271mm covers Sparco, OMP and Corbeau base mount seats; 405mm by 290mm covers Recaro. Multi-hole clusters at each corner of the plate are what make that possible.
A Sparco frame will not take a Recaro. This one will.
Fitting
Steel, base mount, using the floor mounting points already in the car, so nothing is drilled and the original seats come out whole.
Side mount shells need side mounts or adaption bars over the frame. Tell us the seats and we will confirm before anything ships.
