Honda Civic 9th generation bucket seat guide
2015 to 2017, UK market (FK2 Civic Type R)
Honda sold quite different ninth-generation Civics in North America and Europe. The UK car of this period is the FK2 body, the Civic Type R, which is not the same thing as the American saloon and coupe of the same generation number. Most fitting frames listed as “Honda Civic 9th generation” without a chassis code are cut for the American car and are the wrong part for a UK FK2.
This guide is built around the frames and roll cages confirmed for the FK2 chassis specifically. If you have a genuine US-import Civic of this generation, a separate section below covers the part cut for that car instead.
If your FK2 still has the factory Type R seats, they are heavily bolstered and worth keeping. Tell us what you have before you spend, since there are cases where the factory seat is the right call.

Most "Honda Civic 9th generation" fitting frames are for the wrong carHonda sold a different Civic under this generation number in North America. The one sold in the UK is the FK2 Type R. If a part does not reference the FK2 chassis code, it is very likely cut for the American car. Send us the registration if you want it confirmed before ordering.
BRIDE list genuine seat rails coded for the FK2 chassis, which bolt to the car’s original floor mounting points. The FO (252575) and XR (252901) tiers at £220 are examples from that range; other trims are available.

Mounting: US-import Civic
For genuine American-market cars onlyThis bracket is cut for the North American Civic saloon and coupe, a different car from the FK2 sold new in the UK. Only use this if you have a genuine US-spec import.
The Planted Technology bracket (18043, part SB154) at £185.50 covers the American saloon and coupe. If you have imported a genuine US-spec Civic of this generation, this is the correct frame; send us the registration to confirm before ordering. It is handed and has side airbag and occupancy sensing considerations; tell us the specification before removing the standard seat.

Competition bucket seats

The Sabelt GT3 at £431 and Sparco Evo QRT at £475 sit at the upper end, both suited to an FK2 built for regular track use. The Corbeau Sprint X System 3 at £675 is the newest-standard FIA seat in this range.

Harnesses
Harnesses need a roll cage or harness barA 4-point, 5-point or 6-point harness with separate shoulder straps needs proper attachment points above and behind the seat. Fit a roll cage or a properly engineered harness bar before using anything above a 3-point belt.
The TRS Clubman 3-point bolt-in at £80 and 4-point clip-in at £100 both use the standard seat belt anchor points and do not need a cage. For 4-point competition use, the TRS Magnum 4-point FIA at £205 and the Takata Drift II at £229 are the step up.
