Chris Bangle designed the outside of the Fiat Coupe, Pininfarina did the interior, and the 20v Turbo is the version people actually build. It is one of the more interesting cars on this list: a front-drive coupe with genuine pace, and a following that has grown over time rather than faded the way most 1990s coupes have. That following is why fitment matters here more than usual.
The OMP direct-fit sub-frame is the only branded fitting frame currently made for this car, and it sits on its own OMP part number with no siblings. Nothing carries over from a related model, and there is no equivalent to fall back on if the wrong part turns up. Send us the registration before ordering and we will confirm the part.
This guide covers that fitting frame, the seats that suit a front-drive coupe with a lot of torque through the wheel, and the roll cages built specifically for this car rather than for one of Fiat’s earlier, unrelated coupes of the same name.

Mounting
The OMP direct-fit sub-frame (15726) at £94.87 is the only branded base-mount fitting frame made for the Fiat Coupe. It bolts to the car’s existing floor mounting points and brings the bolt pattern up to both 345mm x 271mm and 405mm x 290mm, covering base-mount seats from Sparco, OMP, Corbeau and Recaro from a single frame.
OMP’s own listing notes that this part sits on its own part number, with no siblings and no related model to fall back on if the fitment turns out to be wrong. Send us the car’s registration before ordering and we will confirm the part is correct.
For side mount, the Sparco FIA steel brackets (13876) carry their own FIA approval, useful where a seat’s homologation depends on the mounting hardware matching. The Cobra steel side mounts (13891) are the equivalent for Cobra side-mount seats. Add the Sparco sliding runner kit (14036) if you need fore-aft adjustment; it is sold per seat and is non-FIA, so fine for road use and track days but not competition.

Competition bucket seats
Most seats here carry FIA 8855-1999 approval. The OMP TRS-E Velour at £199.50 and Cobra Monaco Pro at £235 are both dual-mount options at a similar price, the steel-shelled Cobra offering intrusion resistance the fibreglass OMP does not. The OMP Champ-R at £318 and the two Mirco fibreglass shells at £324 and £354.50 are the lighter competition options if weight through the front-drive chassis is a consideration.
The Sabelt GT3 at £431 and Sparco Grid Q at £365 sit in the upper-mid range, both FIA-rated with strong lateral support for a car that carries real speed into corners. The Corbeau Sprint X System 1 at £575 is the FIA seat at the top of this section, built to the newer System 1 standard.
The Endurance Motorsport Club Sport at £209.79 and Auto Style Type RR at £254.60 are the accessible options for a track day car rather than full competition.

If the car sees contact, the Cobra Monaco Pro at £235 trades a little weight for a steel shell. For a car built properly around the 20v Turbo's pace, the Sabelt GT3 at £431 or the Corbeau Sprint X System 1 at £575 give the lateral support the chassis can use. Reclining sport seats
Reclining sport seats are base mount on the Coupe, fitting the OMP sub-frame above. The Sparco R100 Martini Racing at £291.66 and Sparco R333 at £374.56 are both strong lateral support options. The Auto Style range covers the more accessible end: the Type JW at £245.60, the Type AK at £235, and the GT Red Tartan at £287.50, all suited to a road-and-track car rather than serious competition.
At the top of the range, the Sparco SPR at £1549.12 and the Cobra Misano Anniversary at £1374.17 are both premium reclining seats with a level of finish and support well beyond the mid-range options. These suit a Coupe that is being properly built rather than lightly modified.

The Auto Style Type AK at £235 is the sensible starting point for a road-focused Coupe: a clear step up from the factory seat without turning the car into something impractical day to day. The Sparco R333 at £374.56 is worth the jump if the car sees regular track use and needs more lateral hold through the wheel. For a Coupe getting a proper interior rebuild, the Cobra Misano Anniversary at £1374.17 and the Sparco SPR at £1549.12 are the two seats in this guide built to that standard.
Roll cages
Fiat made more than one "Coupe"Fiat also built a 128 Coupe (1970s), a 2300 S Coupe (1960s) and an 850 Coupe (1960s), and roll cages exist for those cars too. Both cages below are confirmed by the manufacturer spec sheet as fitting the 1993-2000 Coupe, including the 20v Turbo. If you see a cage for a Fiat 128, 2300 S or 850 Coupe, it is not for this car.
The OMP bolt-in cage (18857) at £675 is confirmed for “Model: COUPE, Version: ALL inc 20v TURBO, Year: 93-” on the manufacturer spec sheet. It is an AB/105P series cage in FE45 steel, supplied in bare metal, with connecting sleeve tubes and door bars that need to be cut and welded on installation. Fitting bolts are not included.
The Sparco multipoint bolt-in cage (19346) at £777.69 attaches to the body shell including the front suspension pick-up points, built to exceed FIA minimum requirements by up to 150 percent, and comes with all shell reinforcement plates and assembly hardware included.
Harnesses
Harnesses need a roll cage or harness barA 4-point, 5-point or 6-point harness with separate shoulder straps needs proper attachment points above and behind the seat. Fit a roll cage or a properly engineered harness bar before using anything above a 3-point belt.
The TRS Clubman 3-point bolt-in at £80 and 4-point clip-in at £100 both use the standard seat belt anchor points and do not need a cage. For 4-point competition use, the TRS Magnum 4-point FIA at £205 and the Takata Drift II at £229 are the step up.
For 6-point harnesses, the cage goes in first. The TRS Magnum 6-point Superlite FIA at £245, the Takata Drift III at £270, and the Schroth Profi 3×2 at £370 all suit a caged Coupe going to competition or serious track days.

Is there more than one Fiat Coupe roll cage?
Fiat used the “Coupe” name on several different cars across the decades: the 128 Coupe from the 1970s, the 2300 S Coupe from the 1960s, the 850 Coupe from the 1960s, and the 1993-2000 Tipo-based Coupe this guide covers. Roll cages exist for all of them under similar-looking product names. The two cages listed in this guide are confirmed by the manufacturer spec sheet as fitting the 1993-2000 Coupe including the 20v Turbo. Check the model and year on any cage before ordering.
Can I use a Sparco or Cobra sub-frame instead of the OMP one?
Not currently. OMP is the only brand with a direct-fit sub-frame made specifically for this car. Sparco and Cobra seats still fit via the OMP sub-frame, since it supports both the 345mm x 271mm and 405mm x 290mm bolt patterns used across the major brands.
What happens if the OMP sub-frame does not fit?

Is the 20v Turbo the only version worth building?
It is the version most commonly built and the one this guide is written around, but the seat and frame combination here suits the naturally aspirated Coupe equally well. The OMP sub-frame and roll cages are both listed for “ALL” versions of the car, not the Turbo specifically.
Can I run a 6-point harness without a roll cage?
No. A 6-point harness needs anchor points above and behind the seat for the shoulder straps. Fit a roll cage or a properly engineered harness bar first. A 3-point bolt-in harness uses the standard seat belt anchor points and does not need a cage.
