FHR Only means HANS Specific: this harness is designed to work with a head restraint device, and the shoulder strap geometry assumes one is fitted. Without a HANS or FHR device connected to the helmet, the shoulder attachment points cannot function as intended. If you do not run a head restraint device, the HANS Friendly 75mm four-point Nascar variants (22G450, 22G455, 22G465) are the correct alternatives.
The 75mm straps are the wider option in the Nascar four-point range. Wider webbing distributes the load over a greater area under impact and high braking loads. Some category regulations specify a minimum strap width; check yours before choosing between 50mm and 75mm.
Superlite means aluminium adjusters on the shoulder straps, steel on the lap. The shoulder hardware is what you reach for most often, and the aluminium adjuster turns more smoothly than steel, particularly under gloves. The lap hardware in steel is one less variable to maintain.
Four-point layout: two shoulder straps and two lap straps, no sub strap. Lever-latch buckle. Road and track approved, not FIA. Nine colour choices. The Standard 75mm FHR Only version (N4PTFHR, £140) keeps all adjusters in steel and costs £25 less; if adjuster weight and ease of turning are not a priority, that is the simpler option.

Is this harness legal for competition?
This one carries Road and Track rather than current FIA homologation, so check your championship regulations before buying it for competition. For road and track day use, that is not a problem. Ask us if you are unsure which your events require.
What does the strap width mean for me?

Do I need a HANS-specific harness?
No. Only 6-point FIA harnesses work with a HANS device: not 4-point belts, and not road harnesses, however good they are at their own job. This 4-point road and track belt is for use without a head and neck device; if you run or plan a HANS, look at the 6-point FIA HANS-pattern belts in the range and we will spec the right one.
What does it mount to?
A harness needs proper anchor points: a harness bar, cage, or the car’s designed mounting points, plus a seat with the right slots, and as a 4-point it needs each point anchored correctly. Tell us the car and seat and we will confirm the mounting plan before you order.
