How long does an FIA harness last?
Every FIA harness carries a not-valid-after date on its label, and that date is what counts, not the purchase date. Our guide on how long FIA harnesses last explains the labelling, and buying new gets you the freshest date Sabelt currently produces.
Is a 4-point right for me?
A 4-point FIA 8854-1998 harness suits cars and events where a 4-point is accepted. Many championships ask for a 6-point to FIA 8853-2016, so check your regulations, and ask us if you want the 6-point equivalent.
How long are the straps?
Sabelt’s standard measures are A 480 mm, B 450 mm, C 130+610 mm, lettered as on the drawing in the product gallery. Measure your seat and anchor points against them, and tell us if anything looks tight before you order.
Which shoulder pads fit?
This harness has 3 inch shoulder straps, so it takes 3 inch pads such as our TRS 3 inch harness shoulder pads. A pad that is narrower or wider than the strap slides or folds.
What are the Sabelt part numbers?
Red is CFCI4118A433SD4F, black is CFCI2118A433SD4F and blue is CFCI1118A433SD4F. Quote the full number if you are matching a harness you already have.
Does it come with eye bolts?
Yes. Eye bolts come with the harness. If your mounting points need backing plates, our TRS back plates are listed separately.
What does it mount to?
A harness needs proper anchor points: a harness bar, cage, or the car’s designed mounting points, plus a seat with the right slots, and as a 4-point it needs each point anchored correctly. Tell us the car and seat and we will confirm the mounting plan before you order.
