The QRT-V is a wider bodied shell than the QRT-R, and if you have found the R tight through the hips this is the one to try before you give up on Sparco shells altogether. Sparco list it for all heights across a 32 to 36 inch waist, but the shell shape gives more room where it matters.

Vinyl trim is the practical choice for anything that gets dirty: rally, hillclimb, off road, or a car that lives outside. A fabric seat absorbs everything that gets brought into the cabin. Vinyl wipes down.

What else you need

Approved side mounts and a vehicle specific sub-frame. The mounts have to be approved ones for the installation to keep the seat’s homologation.

If you are between this and the QRT-R, tell us your chest and hip measurements and where a previous seat felt tight. That is usually enough for us to say which way to go, and it is a much cheaper conversation than buying the wrong shell.

Ask us to read the manufacture date off current stock, because an FIA seat expires on a date tied to when it was built rather than when you bought it.

Will I fit in this seat?

What do I need to fit it to my car?
