The R333 is the seat to move up to when the R100 is not holding you enough. Sparco redesigned it in 2021 with deeper and more aggressive bolsters and sharper styling, and gave it a double adjustment recline lever with a rapid tilt, where the R100 makes do with a single lever. That tilt is the detail you notice living with the car, because it drops the backrest out of the way in one movement when someone needs to get in the back.
Who it suits
Fast road use and regular track days, where lateral support earns its money. Sparco list it as suiting drivers under six feet with a 32 to 36 inch waist. If you are taller or broader than that, say so and we will point you at a wider shell rather than sell you a seat you will fight.
Cloth trim, steel frame, no head support wings, and no armrests. It takes a three or four point harness and works with the standard diagonal belt.
Fitting
Base mount on the 345mm by 271mm pattern, the same spacing as the R100, so the two share sub-frames and runners. If you already have frames in the car for an R100 the R333 drops onto them.
Supplied as the seat only. You will need a vehicle specific sub-frame for each side, and runners if you want fore and aft adjustment. Tell us the car and we will put the right frames with it.
This is a Road and Track seat and carries no FIA homologation.

Will I fit in this seat?
The maker sizes this seat for drivers with a 36in to 38in or 32in to 36in waist. Those are the paper numbers; how a seat actually feels to sit in and climb out of is a different question, and our showroom team sit in these seats every day, so call us with your height and waist and we will give you the honest answer.
What do I need to fit it to my car?

Does it recline like a normal seat, and what about armrests?
Yes, the backrest reclines, which is the whole point of a sport recliner over a fixed bucket: support in the corners, comfort on the motorway, and access to rear seats. Armrests: not fitted on this model. Our recliner lineup comparison shows how the ranges stack up.
