The Subaru Forester ran from 1995 to 2007 across two body generations: the SF (1995 to 2002) and the SG (2002 to 2007). Both generations share the same basic floor mounting pattern as the GC8 Impreza, which is why M2 Motorsport have confirmed fitment using the GC8 base rail with an ‘F’ suffix to mark the Forester variant. The most significant performance Forester in this period is the SG STI, which uses the EJ257 from the Impreza STI in a taller body that is surprisingly quick on stages and in hillclimb use.
