Six inches of height is a lot, and this bracket exists for a specific problem. Most people fitting a bucket seat are trying to get lower. A few are not: if you are short, if the car has a high scuttle, or if the floor has been raised for a cage or a fuel cell, a seat mounted as low as it will go leaves you unable to see out or reach the pedals properly.
This is the mount for that. It is also used in vehicles where the seat sits above a transmission tunnel or a mechanical component that cannot be moved.
Measure before you buy
Six inches will be too much for most installations. If you need two inches, this is the wrong part and we would rather tell you that than sell it to you. Sit in the car with the seat propped where you want it, measure the gap to the mounting points, and send us the figure.
The standard slider side mount is the normal starting point.
Construction
Laser cut and CNC formed from a single piece of 1/8 inch carbon steel, gloss black powder coat. PCI’s slider bolts to the base with four bolts rather than the usual two.
Raising a seat raises your shoulder line, so set the seat first and fix harness anchor points afterwards.
