The BMW E90 story (04-13)...
Once you start using your BMW E90 for fast road and track use, you’ll soon realize just how much you need new bucket seats to provide more support.
On cornering, you may find your self holding onto the steering wheel tighter than usual, tensing your thighs and legs against the central console and/or door card. You’ll probably find your weight shifting in the seat and having to re-position your self after the corner.
None of this is correct. Your seat should provide the right level of support so that you can grip the steering wheel only for steering, your legs should be supported and your weight shouldn’t shift around. The recommendations we provide are to ensure that you feel comfortable and supported allowing you to focus on the job at hand.

Recommended Brackets:
We recommend these pieces of installation equipment so successfully install the side-mounted bucket seats and base-mounted sports recliners we suggest in our guide.
Corbeau/Sparco frames and sliding runner kits use a 345mm bolt pattern, which will only work with standard-sized bucket seats and recliners (not Recaro or Cobra Recliners).
Planted Technology brackets work with everything, both standard and XL bucket seats and sports recliners. They also work with Cobra base-mounted bucket seats and Cobra recliners that use a smaller 291mm bolt pattern.
PCI all-in-one fitting kit works with standard-sized bucket seats and includes a sub-frame, sliding runner kit, and side mounts all in one piece. This is our favourite frame for installing standard-width bucket seats, thanks to its simple installation design.
Cobra frames and sliding runner kits use a 291mm bolt pattern that only works with Cobra base-mounted steel frame bucket seats and Cobra recliners.
