The TRS Caterham Magnum 4 Point FIA (part number 22C400C) is the competition-rated Caterham harness in the TRS range. Like the road-spec Caterham Clubman (22A400C), the shoulder straps are cut to 50cm from adjuster to fixing point to suit Caterham’s tight cockpit, and a specification sheet is required on ordering because strap lengths are built to the specific car. Where the Clubman uses a clip buckle and 50mm webbing, the Magnum steps up to a 75mm aircraft rotary buckle and 75mm webbing throughout.
FIA 8854-1998 and road-and-track approved. Mounting is bolt-in throughout. At £205, you are getting FIA certification and full-width shoulder straps while keeping the same Caterham-specific fit as the lighter road Clubman.
The aircraft rotary buckle is TRS’s 140-gram composite unit, attached to the right-hand lap strap. Eyebolts or 7/16″ set-screws are included. The intercom tab on the shoulder strap and Velcro patches on the outer lap straps are both standard.
Two things to confirm before ordering: whether your championship’s technical regulations accept FIA 8854-1998, and which year Caterham you have. The specification sheet is completed before TRS puts the harness into production, and strap lengths differ between Caterham generations, so the year matters.

What does the strap width mean for me?

Do I need a HANS-specific harness?
No. Only 6-point FIA harnesses work with a HANS device: not 4-point belts, and not road harnesses, however good they are at their own job. This 4-point harness is for use without a head and neck device; if you run or plan a HANS, look at the 6-point FIA HANS-pattern belts in the range and we will spec the right one.
What does it mount to?
A harness needs proper anchor points: a harness bar, cage, or the car’s designed mounting points, plus a seat with the right slots, and as a 4-point it needs each point anchored correctly. Tell us the car and seat and we will confirm the mounting plan before you order.
