The Porsche 944, built from 1982 to 1991, is a front-engined, rear-wheel-drive Porsche with a near-50:50 weight distribution that gave it handling balance genuinely competitive with mid-engined cars of its era. The 944 Turbo S and the 944 S2 in 3.0 naturally aspirated form are the performance high points; the Turbo S in particular held the fastest production car lap record at several circuits in the mid-1980s. The 944 continues to be a competitive car in historic motorsport, particularly in the dedicated 944 Cup series and in production car circuit racing for cars of that period.

The kit mounts to the OEM floor points without drilling and carries integrated sliding runners. The 944’s transmission tunnel is more forward in the cabin than a rear-engined 911, which gives a different bracket profile to the 911 964 sub-frame kit.
