In a working van there are often two positions in the cab but the passenger seat stays empty most of the time. A delivery driver, courier, or sole-occupant van user may want to upgrade the driver’s seat only, either for comfort or because fitting both seats at once is more than the budget allows. Recaro produced a specific sub-frame for this situation on the Peugeot Boxer.
Part number 683609 is the Recaro direct-fit sub-frame for the Peugeot Boxer driver’s seat position only. It attaches to the factory floor fixing positions on the driver’s side and provides fore-aft sliding travel for the Recaro seat. The price, at £215.25, is lower than the standard Boxer sub-frame because it is a single-position kit rather than a full cab solution.
The Boxer is a large LCV with a flat floor cab, and the driver in a fully laden vehicle is working in a cab that shakes and vibrates more than most passenger cars. Long-haul runs in a Boxer are a real test of driver fatigue, which is where a Recaro Sport or Sportster CS earns its cost on a working vehicle.
This sub-frame is for Recaro seats only and covers base-mountable bucket seats and reclining sport seats. Side-mounted shells require different hardware. The price here is for the driver-side sub-frame only. If you want to add the passenger side later, the 689919 covers both positions. Tell us your Recaro model when ordering and we will confirm the kit.
