This Recaro sub-frame (part number 687319-1863) fits the Mercedes-Benz CLK W209, produced from 2002 to 2009. The CLK W209 was available as a two-door coupe and cabriolet on the W203 C-Class floorplan, with engines running from the 200 Kompressor to the CLK 63 AMG. The sub-frame bolts to the CLK’s factory floor mounts with no modification to the car.

The W209 is a longer-wheelbase coupe with a relaxed seating position relative to more focused sports cars, and the OEM seats were oriented toward comfort. Installing a Recaro sport seat improves lateral support noticeably in a car that is capable of covering ground quickly. The Recaro sub-frame positions the replacement seat correctly for the W209’s seatbelt geometry and floor profile. Fore-aft runners are included.

Additional seat belt brackets: Each seat frame can be used for a variety of applications including road car reclining seats throuh to Motorsport FIA seats. Seat belt brackets are not required in a range of application so manufacturers generally do not supply them with their frame kits. If you require seat belt brackets please contact us in advance

Which seats does it take?
Check the bolt pattern in the specification against your seat. The Compatible seats tab above lists what bolts straight on. If your seat is not listed, tell us what you run and we will confirm the fit.

Do I keep fore-and-aft adjustment?
Only with a sliding runner between the frame and the seat, which is a separate part on Recaro frames. If more than one person drives the car, budget for the runner. Our guide to sliding runners explains the options and widths.

Recaro seats are produced in batches for the UK market

We receive Recaro deliveries regularly and hold good stock of the popular models, so many go out quickly.

Demand for the bucket seats is worldwide and production runs to Recaro’s own schedule, so the less common models and trims can take considerably longer. Ask us and we will tell you where a specific seat stands.

Before you order

If you need a seat for a date, ring us first. We would rather give you an honest lead time up front than have you waiting on a seat that is between production runs.
