The Focus C-Max is a compact MPV built on the Ford Focus platform, which means it has reasonable driving dynamics for a family carrier but an OEM seat that is tuned for urban comfort rather than spirited driving. The raised body and MPV-height floor give it the same headroom challenge as larger people carriers: adding aftermarket sports seats with a generic raised bracket often pushes the driver’s head into the headlining before the seat bolsters start doing anything useful.
Part 869016 is Recaro’s direct-fit sub-frame for the Focus C-Max. It bolts to the factory floor mounting points without modification and keeps the seat at the position Recaro designed for this specific floor. Built-in sliding runners retain fore-aft adjustment. Because the C-Max shares its underpinnings with the Mk2 Focus, the seating position is lower than in the larger Galaxy or S-Max, so the geometry is a different bracket set to those other Ford MPV kits.
These sub-frames fit Recaro base-mount reclining seats and base-mount bucket seats. Side-mounted competition shells will not fit without adaptor bars. One frame per seat.
