The SW Motorsports Renault Megane R26 Direct Fit Subframe, part SWS-R26-Mount, is the bottom-mount option for the Megane Mk2 RS floor. It covers the R225 and R26 variants of the Mk2 generation and presents a 345mm Sparco-compatible bolt pattern on the top plate. Driver and passenger positions are sold separately.
The Megane Mk2 RS ran from 2002 to 2009 across the R225, Phase 2 R225 and R26 variants. All three share the same floor plan and mounting geometry. The R26 arrived in 2006 as the range’s performance flagship, with Cup suspension as standard and close-ratio gearbox as an option; R225 builds are more common in budget club endurance events where the lower purchase price of the car makes more sense than the R26’s premium. Either version uses this subframe.
This subframe replaces the standard seat runners and bolts to the existing floor mounting points. On the Mk2 Megane the standard RS seats were heavy sports items; removing them and fitting a bucket on this subframe saves weight at the front of a naturally nose-heavy platform.
A Megane Mk2 225 subframe is also listed in the range (SWS-Megane-Mk2, £115). Both cover the Mk2 floor; they exist as separate SKUs because there are known cases where the mounting hole position varies between specific cars. If you are replacing an existing subframe and know the part number, match it. If you are unsure, send us the year and spec and we can advise.
If your seat uses side mounting holes rather than Sparco bottom holes, the Mk2 R26 Side Mounts (SWS-Megane-Mk2-SM, £88.53) are the alternative.
