We supplied this customer with a pair of OMP WRC-R fibreglass bucket seats for their VW Golf, and they fit the car very well. There is enough room between the seats, the doors and the roll cage to make it a comfortable, tidy install.
The seats are paired with TRS Motorsport harnesses. Both the seats and the belts carry FIA approval, which makes the Golf well set up for track days.

The OMP WRC-R seats
The WRC-R is a fibreglass FIA seat with large shoulder and thigh supports. That support keeps the driver from sliding side to side, so the attention can stay on the road or the track, which helps on a fast lap and makes long drives less tiring.
The standard WRC-R is sized for drivers with a 32 to 36 inch waist. For bigger drivers there is the XL, which is 50mm taller and wider.
In a small hatchback with a cage, space is always the question. Here there is room between the seats and the doors, and between the seats and the cage tubes, which is what makes this a good fit and not a squeeze.
The TRS harnesses
The customer chose TRS Magnum 4 point FIA harnesses. They have 3 inch webbing and an aircraft style twist release buckle, which makes getting out of the car quick. The WRC-R has the right harness slots for them, and the belts work well with the roll cage.
The Magnum is available as 4, 5 or 6 point belts for saloon cars and comes in a range of colours. TRS have been making harnesses since 1989.
