Top 5 reclining seat choices for your Peugeot 107, including our fitting guide

The 107 Trophy runs in sealed spec: engine, brakes, gearbox, all standard and all identical across the grid, so the result comes down to the driver. That format has produced close racing since the series launched, and it explains why a car this size ends up being prepared properly far more often than you would expect. A stock 107 seat comes out on day one of a Trophy build. It also comes out when an owner who just does track days gets serious enough to stop sliding around in the standard foam. The fitting frame for this car was built because there is real demand for it.

There is one frame route for the 107: a Cobra direct-fit subframe specific to the factory mounting points, with the sliding runner included in the price. That keeps the total cost of the fitting lower than on most of the cars in this series. One thing to check before picking a shell: the 107 has a narrower interior than most of the cars we write guides for, and Cobra flag it directly in the frame listing. Measure the shoulder width at seat height before ordering, and compare it against the seat’s external width. The five seats in this guide are the ones worth working through first.

  • One frame route: Cobra direct-fit subframe, runner included in the price
  • Cobra recliners use the 291mm bolt pattern; Corbeau recliners are drilled for 291mm and 345mm and fit the Cobra frame on the 291mm side
  • Narrow interior: measure shoulder width at seat height before choosing a shell
  • The 107 Trophy one-make series prepares these cars seriously; the fitting frame exists because of that demand
  • All five seats in this guide are 4-point harness compatible

The frame route into a Peugeot 107

There is one fitting frame for the 107: the Cobra direct-fit subframe, part number SU-PE-17, which bolts to the factory floor mounting points without drilling. It is specific to the 107’s floor arrangement and covers the car from 2005 onwards. The sliding runner is included in the price at £231.66 inc VAT per side. That is the part between the subframe and the seat base that provides the fore-aft adjustment. Unlike most of the frames we list, there is no separate runner purchase needed for any of the five seats in this guide, which is worth factoring in when you work out the total cost of the build. The frame is priced per side; a driver and a passenger seat means two frames in the basket.

The number that decides it

Every seat in this guide bolts to the Cobra frame through the 291mm pattern. Cobra recliners are drilled at 291mm x 330mm and go straight on. Corbeau recliners are drilled for both 291mm and 345mm, so the 291mm side lines up with the Cobra frame exactly. Every seat on this page fits the same frame with no adaptation.

Corbeau PSR: best value pair, compact fit

The PSR is the entry-level Corbeau recliner and is sold as a pair, which means both sides of the car sorted from one order. At £558 inc VAT for two seats, the price is straightforward. The seat itself is compact: moderate bolstering, a flat base profile without excess material pushing into the side of a narrow interior. For a 107 where the budget needs to stretch across more than just the seats, this is the logical starting point. The Corbeau PSR is drilled for both 291mm and 345mm, so it bolts straight to the Cobra subframe via the 291mm holes with no extra hardware beyond the frame.

  • £558.00 inc VAT for the pair, both seats in one order
  • 32 to 38 inch waist, all heights suitable
  • Drilled for 291mm and 345mm, fits the Cobra 107 subframe on the 291mm side
  • 4-point harness compatible
  • Check external seat width against your 107's interior before ordering

Cobra Daytona: core Cobra recliner, built to order

The Daytona is where the Cobra reclining range starts to feel like a proper sport seat. The shoulder bolsters are noticeably deeper than the PSR, so the driver is held in the seat through a corner without bracing against the door. Cobra build each Daytona through their Signature system, which covers fabric, vinyl or leather in any colour combination, with heating and lumbar as optional extras. For a 107 doing track days as well as road miles, the Daytona’s support level is the right balance: it gives you what you went looking for without moving the cost toward something the rest of the build has not caught up with.

  • From £599.00 inc VAT, built to order in your trim of choice
  • 32 to 38 inch waist, all heights suitable
  • Cobra Signature system: fabric, vinyl or leather; heating and lumbar available
  • 291mm x 330mm pattern, bolts straight to the Cobra 107 subframe
  • 4-point harness compatible

Corbeau RRS Low Base: the headroom pick

The RRS Low Base is worth considering for any 107 where the headroom test after fitting comes up tighter than expected. The 107 is already a low car, and the relationship between seat height and roof clearance after mounting is closer to the margin than it would be in a car with more cabin volume. The Low Base shell brings the seat down enough to recover meaningful clearance in most cases. The backrest is the sculpted Corbeau shape, and the seat is drilled for both patterns so it bolts to the Cobra subframe through the 291mm holes. Available as a single or in pairs if both seats need replacing at once.

  • £498.00 inc VAT single; pair from £996.00 inc VAT
  • 32 to 38 inch waist, all heights suitable
  • Low Base shell, useful where roof clearance is tight after seat mounting
  • Drilled for 291mm and 345mm, fits the Cobra subframe on the 291mm side
  • 4-point harness compatible; heated version also available

Cobra Stuttgart: smarter trim, same frame route

The Stuttgart sits between the Daytona and the top of the Cobra reclining range. The styling is cleaner than the Daytona, a less overtly sport look that works better in a car that splits its time between circuits and everyday driving. The vinyl version holds its shape well and is practical for a car used in varying conditions. Cobra build these through the same Signature system as the Daytona, with the same trim choices and options. It uses the 291mm pattern and goes straight onto the Cobra 107 subframe. For a 107 doing road miles as well as track days, and where the seat needs to look settled rather than obviously prepared, the Stuttgart is often where the decision lands once you have sat in both Cobra options.

  • £619.00 inc VAT; leather and Tartan editions also available
  • 32 to 38 inch waist, all heights suitable
  • Cobra Signature system: vinyl as standard, other trim options available
  • 291mm x 330mm pattern, straight onto the Cobra 107 subframe
  • 4-point harness compatible

Corbeau SVR: the low-roof recommendation

The Corbeau SVR is the seat we recommend for low-roof cars, and the 107 is exactly that. The SVR shell is designed with a lower total seat height than the standard RRS or VLS, which is what it does for a compact car: it puts the driver lower relative to the roofline without a separate low-base component. We published a separate guide on why the SVR works for low-roof builds; the short version is that it is the one where the headroom concern largely disappears for most drivers. Sold as a pair at £1,020 inc VAT, drilled for both patterns, and fits the Cobra 107 subframe through the 291mm holes. For a Trophy car or a 107 where track use is the main purpose of the build, it is the seat Cameron reaches for first.

  • £1,020.00 inc VAT for the pair
  • 32 to 38 inch waist, all heights suitable
  • Designed for low-roof cars: lower shell height than standard RRS or VLS
  • Drilled for 291mm and 345mm, fits the Cobra subframe on the 291mm side
  • 4-point harness compatible

Getting it bolted down

The Cobra 107 subframe (SU-PE-17) bolts to the factory seat mounting points without drilling. The sliding runner is included in the price, which is the part between the subframe and the seat base that gives the fore-aft adjustment. For any of the five seats in this guide, the subframe at £231.66 inc VAT per side is the complete assembly from floor to seat. No separate runner purchase needed.

Torque the floor bolts correctly when it goes in, and check seat belt buckle clearance before driving: a sport seat changes where the buckle lands relative to the side sill. Cobra also recommend measuring the 107’s cabin width at seat height before choosing a shell, which is worth doing before the frame arrives rather than after. The frame is priced per side; driver and passenger each need one.

Common questions

Do I need to drill the floor of my 107?

No. The Cobra subframe (SU-PE-17) picks up the factory seat mounting points on the 107 without any drilling. Torque the floor bolts correctly when it goes in, and check that the seat belt buckle clears the side of the seat before driving, because a sport seat changes where the buckle sits relative to the sill.

The 107 has a narrow interior. Will a sport seat fit?

Cobra flag this directly in the subframe listing: the 107's interior is smaller than most cars in this series, and they recommend measuring the shoulder width at seat height before choosing a shell. We cannot give a universal answer because the exact clearance depends on which seat you choose, but the cabin width check is worth doing before the frame arrives rather than after. If you want to work through it for your specific seat choice, call us on 0115 9893488 and we will go through the measurements with you.

Does this guide cover all 107 variants?

Yes. The Cobra subframe is listed for the Peugeot 107 without a variant qualification, covering the standard model and special editions including Envy, Sport and Urban. If your car has any unusual factory equipment near the floor mounting points, check with us before ordering.

Will these seats take a 4-point harness?

Every seat in this guide is 4-point harness compatible. If you are planning to run a harness for track use, note that some harness configurations require the seat to be in a specific position relative to the rear floor bars. We can talk through the full setup if that is what the build needs: 0115 9893488.

My 107 is used in the 107 Trophy. Which seat suits that use?

For Trophy use or serious track day driving, the Corbeau SVR is the first call. It is designed for the headroom constraint this car has, and it is the seat we specifically recommend for low-roof cars. The RRS Low Base is the alternative if you need less aggressive bolstering for mixed use. Both go on the same Cobra subframe at the same frame price.

What I would actually buy

If it were my money: the Corbeau PSR pair where the build budget needs to stretch elsewhere and both seats need sorting in one order. The Cobra Daytona if the driving is the point: proper bolstered support, built to your trim spec, and at a price that makes sense for a car this size. The RRS Low Base if the headroom check after mounting comes back tighter than expected. The Stuttgart if the 107 splits its time between road and circuit and needs to look settled rather than overtly prepared. Cameron would fit the Corbeau SVR in a Trophy car or any 107 where the track use is serious: it is the seat designed for this exact roof height, and the headroom question does not come up again once it is in. All five go on the same Cobra subframe at the same frame price, with the runner already included.
