The most expensive listing in the bench range
The dearest material on the dearest configuration. Worth being clear about why: alcantara costs more than leather on the bench range, which is not the case anywhere else in the Cobra retrim line, and a fully split base adds cost over a solid one.
If the budget is the deciding factor, a split back on a whole base in the same material saves the base premium, and it is the correct part anyway unless your car genuinely has a split base.
What alcantara does back here
It grips. A rear passenger has nothing to brace against, and on leather they slide across the seat in corners. It also stays cooler than leather under the rear screen, which is the hottest trim position in a car.
Where it will not last
The front edges of both base sections, which everyone slides across getting in, and the tops of the folding backrests if anything is ever carried on them.
Leather and alcantara is the same price and puts leather on exactly those surfaces. On a seat that gets used, it is the better buy of the two.
